A Thuisti,
Covid-19
I hope everyone is well after the Halloween Break. Last term we were delighted not to have any positive coronavirus cases within the school population. Parents/guardians staff and pupils were central to this. As we approach another important term the same advice applies to parents/guardians.
Do not send your child to school if they are experiencing any symptoms whatsoever of Covid 19 or if they are a close contact of a confirmed case. Please contact a GP immediately for advice on these matters.
Parents/guardians should not congregate in close proximity before/after school when dropping off or collecting their children. Preferably masks should be worn. Everyone in the school community must re-double their efforts in ensuring that the school remains virus free. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable term.
Product Recalls
Last Thursday the Department of Education published a list of sanitiser products that needed to be recalled due to registration issues. I have checked all the products that we use and none of them are on the prohibited list.

Book Fair
We will be holding our annual Book Fair next week from Monday 9th to Friday 13th November. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we will not be holding our fair in the hall like previous years.
Parents/guardians will receive an e-mail from the school with a Brochure and all details of how to order. Books will be paid for in advance using an automated phone system. Proof of payment will be brought into the school by the children and then they will receive their books. The school receives commission from the sale of books which will be spent on books for the class or school library.
Student Council
We will be re-starting our Student Council this week. Now, more than ever, we need to have input from our students in the way the school have input from our students in the way the school is run. We hope to focus on student well-being in collaboration with our student council members. We will have one pupil in each class from Third to Sixth on the council.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
