Rounders
The Boys in 5th and 6th class who are interested in playing rounders this year for the school have rounders practice after school tomorrow (Tuesday 30th) from 2.40 to 3.40p.m. We have a rounders challenge match in Skryne this Thursday (May 2nd) at 1.15p.m. We will be leaving the school at 12.45p.m. and will need help with lifts.
Hurling
All classes will have hurling training on four Thursdays between now and the Summer (May 2nd, May 9th, May 30th and June 6th ). Children who have helmets should bring them in on these dates.
First Communion
The children in Second class will be receiving their First Communion in Rathfeigh Church on Saturday May 11th at 11.00a.m. They will have practices in Rathfeigh Church next week.
We will text parents/guardians the dates and times tomorrow.
First Aid
A number of weeks ago the staff availed of training from the First Responders in the use of the defibrillator. All classes will be availing of basic First Aid from the First Responders tomorrow. Does your child know how to contact the emergency services? Does your child know the Eir Code for their home?
Swimming
Swimming starts tomorrow for pupils in First, Second and Third classes in Navan Swimming Pool. The pupils will be travelling by bus. We will be leaving the school at 11.40a.m. and returning at 1.40p.m. The cost per pupil (including bus) is €40.00. Many thanks to our Parents’ Association for their large contribution towards the cost of the buses. Please send in money in an envelope as soon as possible.
Computers
Due to the success of our computer lessons earlier in the year, Colm will be returning on four Wednesdays (May 8th, 15, 29 and June 5th) between now and the summer. The cost for the four lessons is €5.00. Please send in the money in an envelope as soon as possible.
Circus Photography
Suzanne from Circus Photography will be in the school on Saturday May 11th to take First Communion photographs. If you wish to have Individual/Family First Communion photographs taken by Circus Photography please contact Suzanne before Friday May 3rd to book a time in order to avoid disappointment.
First Communion DVD
Senan Mc Grath is doing a DVD of the First Communion. If you wish to order a DVD please send in €20.00 in an envelope this week.
