Dear Parents/Guardians,

Happy New Year

A big welcome back to the children and staff after the Christmas Break. 2024 was a challenging year for many so we look forward to 2025 with optimism and we wish everyone in the Rathfeigh School Community a safe, happy and healthy New Year.

Student Council

We had a very active and productive student council in the first term this year. We thank Jane, Aoibhinn, Lucia and Reagan for all their great work. Our new student council members are Jessica, Donnacha, Ava and Camron and they will be in the student council until Easter.

‘Re-turn’ Scheme

We started the ‘Re-turn’ of bottles/cans initiative in October and this has been a great success to date. All children received a free Christmas Annual from the proceeds of the scheme in December. If you have bottles/cans at home after the Christmas festivities please send them in to the school.

Attendance

Regular attendance at school is vital for our child’s education. However, if your child has flu symptoms (cough, runny nose etc) then he/she shouldn’t be sent to school. A dangerous flu virus, which is contagious among children, is in wide circulation in our society so please don’t send your child to school if he/she has flu like symptoms.

Is Mise,

Seamus Tansley
