A Thuisti,
Second class pupils have just started the Literacy Lift Off reading programme. It will last for four weeks. We would like to thank all the teachers who continue to make this programme a great success.
Ms. Nolan will be teaching in Rathfeigh as a shared Resource Teacher with Dunshaughlin N.S. two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for the next ten weeks. We wish her success in her time in Rathfeigh.
Our Girls’ Gaelic Football team had a great victory last week against Summerhill. We hope they continue to do well in their remaining three games. Our Boys’ Gaelic Football team lost their first game narrowly to Dunderry. It was a great effort considering we had a lot of younger boys in third and fourth classes on the team.
Gaelic Football coaching for all classes continues this Wednesday and for the following two Wednesdays (September 24th and October 1st). To coincide with this Sunday’s All – Ireland Final between Donegal and Kerry we are having a Jersey Day this Friday (September 19th). We will be having a penalty kick competition in the hall. We hope children donate €1.00 on Friday, the proceeds of which will be spent on purchasing some P.E. equipment.
Circus Photography will visit the school on Thursday September 25th to take Junior Infant individual and class group photograph. They will also be able to take photographs of children in other classes. Please return form to the office by Tuesday 23rd. In June we had Boys and Girls Rounders and Football team photographs taken by Circus Photography if you wish to order a copy of any of these photographs please return the order form and payment as soon as possible.
Reminder: Art & Craft (€20.00) and Insurance (€8.00) Irish Independent (€8.00). Please return Parental Permission Form and Contact Numbers Form to the office.
There is a Board of Management meeting in the school this Thursday.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
Priomh Oide.
