Standardised Tests

The pupils in First to Sixth classes will be doing tests in Irish, English and Mathematics over the next three days. If tests aren’t fully completed this week they will be completed next Monday. The standard score and STEN scores will be given to parents/guardians in the end of year reports. Information on standard scores and STEN scores will be given to parents/guardians when reports are posted home.

School Tours

All classes are going on school tours on Friday 7th June. The following are the costs including bus.

Junior/Senior Tayto Park Leaving at 9.30a.m. Returning at 1.30p.m. €15.00

(no bus – parents/guardians are driving)

First/Second Crystal Leaving at 9.00a.m. Returning at 2.40p.m. €30.00 Third/Fourth Maze

Fifth/Sixth Viking Splash Leaving at 8.30a.m. Returning at 4.45p.m. €38.00

& Croke Park

Please send in payment for tours in an envelope as soon as possible.

The children are not permitted to bring mobile phones or electronic devices on the tours.

Rounders

Our girls’ rounders’ team are through to the semi-final after defeating Dunderry last week. They are playing in Cortown this Wednesday 22n . We will be leaving the school at 12.45p.m. If you can’t bring your child to the game please make arrangements with another parent/guardian.

The girls have training after school tomorrow (Tuesday) from 2.40 to 3.40p.m.

Our boys’ rounders’ team lost very narrowly last week in their first round match against Scoil Mhuire Navan.

School Calendar 2019/20

Please find attached the school calendar for the 2019/20 school year.

European/Local Elections

The school is closed this Friday (May 24th) as the school is being used as a Polling Station for the European and Local Elections.

Education Passports

All parents/guardians of 6th class pupils must return the ‘My Child’s Profile’ sheet tomorrow.

National Biodiversity Week

National Biodiversity Week is all about connecting people with nature. Over the course of nine days from the 18th-26th May there will be over 50 free, family friendly events taking place all over Ireland. Locally “A Bat Talk and Walk” will be taking place in Trim Library on Tuesday 21st May at 7pm. Check out https://m.facebook.com/pg/biodiversityweek
