First Communion

Our second class pupils will receive their First Communion this Saturday at 11.00a.m. in Rathfeigh Church. We wish them the best of luck on their special day and we hope the weather shines favourably on them. The second class pupils and the choir have practices on Wednesday and Thursday from 1.30p.m. to 2.30p.m. We will be leaving the school on both days at 1.25p.m. We will need help with lifts. If you are unable to give your child a lift please make arrangement with another parent/guardian

School Tours

Our Parents’ Association have very generously given €1000 towards the cost of buses for the school tours. We thank them once again for their continued support. The cost of tours including buses are:

Junior + Senior Infants Red Mountain Farm €14.00
First + Second Tayto Park €18.00
Third + Fourth Clara Lara €22.00
Fifth + Sixth Lilliput Adventure Centre €37.00

Gaelic Football

Our Girls’ football team are through to the Cumann na mBunscoil quarter-finals. They are playing Cortown tomorrow morning in Skryne at 10.00a.m. We will be leaving the school at 9.40a.m. The Boys’ football team are playing Kilbride (Trim) next Tuesday (15th May) in Skryne at 1.30p.m. We will be leaving the school at 1.00p.m. The winner of this game will top the group and the losing team comes second in the group. Both Rathfeigh and Kilbride, therefore, are through to the semi-finals.

Green Schools

At the last Green Schools Committee meeting it was decided to get new coloured bins for each classroom. These bins have finally been delivered. The children will have an assembly tomorrow at which we will explain which items of rubbish go into the different bins.

Anti-Bullying training for Parents/Guardians

The National Parents Council Meath county branch will be hosting a training event for parents/guardians in The Ardboyne Hotel on Wednesday 16th May 2018 at 7.30p.m. The aims of this event is to enable you to support your child regarding issues of bullying and to inform you about the anti-bullying procedures for primary and post primary schools. This event is free and attendance is strongly recommended.
