Girls’Football

Our Girls’ 7-a-side Gaelic Football team played in the Meath finals last week. After winning their first match to Whitecross they lost out narrowly to Wilkinstown after leading for most of the match. We are exceptionally proud of their achievements this year. They can now concentrate on the Cumann na mBunscol competition after Easter.

Parents’ Association Easter Raffle

All families were given an envelope last Thursday with information about the Parents’ Association Raffle and tickets. Please return the tickets and money by Wednesday. A big thanks to our Parents’ Association for organising the third fundraising event of the school year.

65 Roses’ Day

This Friday April 9th is ’65 Roses’ day. This is the National Fundraising Day for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. We are asking the children to bring in €2.00 this week. All proceeds will go towards Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.

Easter Egg Hunt/’65 Roses’

We are having our usual Easter Egg Hunt on Friday but with a difference! Each team will have to find ’65 Roses’ (laminated) around the school. We will have eight teams and hopefully each team will work together to find the ’65 Roses’ There may be a few eggs as prizes!!!

Computer Classes

Tomorrow is the last of the four computer classes with Colin. We thank Colm for all his great work during these lessons.

Autism

As part of Autism Awareness Month we are hoping to have Jacinta from Autism Ireland coming to the school this Thursday to speak to the children in all classes about autism.

Standardised Tests

All the children in First to Sixth class will be doing the standardised tests in Irish, English and Maths on Tuesday (31st May) , Wednesday (June 1st) and Thursday (June 2nd).

Board of Management Meeting

There is a Board of Management meeting this evening.

Easter Holidays

The school closes at 12noon for all children this Friday for the Easter Holidays. Please note there is no school bus at 12 noon. The school will re-open after Easter on Monday April 25th.
