14th March, 2016.
Tomorrow is Proclamation Day. We would like to invite parents/guardians to our Flag- Raising Ceremony at 9.15a.m. The children will be partaking in fun classroom and outdoor activities afterwards from the 1916 era.
All classes enjoyed the World War 1 and Easter Rising memorabilia that were displayed in the school today. It was very interesting and informative. A big thanks to Alan O’ Keane for organising this for us. Pictures of the children enjoying the display will be on the school website later in the week.
Second class pupils received their First Confession last week. They said their prayers and sang their songs really well. Thanks to Ms. O’Donoghue for preparing the children so well.
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day we have a ceilí for the children in the school this Wednesday. They have been practising loads of dances and are really enjoying it. Thanks to Mrs Vaughan for practising the dances with all classes. The children should wear green, white and orange to the ceilí on Wednesday. It is a non-uniform day and healthy lunches are optional. (Nut Free Please).
Please find attached a letter from the Tara & District Credit Union.
Reminder – if you wish to have Individual / Family photographs taken on the day of the Confirmation please ring Suzanne at 087-8620056 to book a time.
The school closes at 12.00 noon for the Easter holidays and reopens on Monday April 4th. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day and Easter Break.
