I would like to thank all teachers and staff for organising these events for the children. We would also like to thank all the parents/guardians who organised lifts to/from the church for practices (Confirmation/Confession) and to everyone on the Parents’ Association who organised in Skryne Hall after the Confirmation.
This week is also a very busy for the children!

· Thursday – Easter Egg Hunt for all classes
· Friday – Swimming (1st-4th class)
School Closes at 12 Noon for all classes
Grandparents Day
We will be celebrating our first Grandparents Day this Wednesday from 11am to 12 Noon. It’s an event the staff and children are really looking forward to as it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the role grandparents play in the lives of our pupils and in the Rathfeigh and Skryne Community. We thank all the staff for preparing the children for the event and the Parents’ Association who will be organising refreshments in the hall.
Meath Fire Service Visit
The children in 3rd-6th classes had a visit from a representative from Ashbourne Fire Station today. They received a presentation on fire safety in our homes and how to minimise the fire safety risks. It’s also a reminder that all households should have an evacuation plan at home in the event of a fire.
Easter Egg Hunt
We are having an Easter Egg Hunt in the school field this Thursday. This fun event is always eagerly anticipated by the children. The children should bring spare boots, wellingtons etc. to school on Thursday as the grass may be wet.
Swimming
The final swimming session for the pupils in 1st-4th class takes place this Friday.
Gaelic Football
A big congratulations to our girls’ and boys’ 7-a-side Gaelic Football Teams who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol competition last week. Both teams had victories on the day but missed out narrowly on reaching the next round. A big thanks to Mrs Kennedy, Ms O’Donoghue, Cathy & Felim for all their great work on the day.
Easter Holidays
The school closes at 12 Noon this Friday for all pupils. There is a school bus as usual. The school will re-open after the Easter Break on Monday April 13th.
Is Mise,
Seamus Tansley
