Ms. Higgins finishes in Rathfeigh N.S. this Friday June 14th. Nicola has been a fantastic addition to the school over the past year or so. We want to thank Nicola for her dedication, hard work and commitment towards the education of the children in Senior Infants. We will all miss Nicola and we wish her great success in her future teaching career. Mrs Campbell will return on Monday June 17th.
On Thursday June 20th we will be having a talent show in the school for the children. The children in Rathfeigh are very talented and we are looking forward to seeing the children dancing, singing, reciting poetry, telling jokes etc. It promises to be a fun and enjoyable day so please encourage the children to participate.
On Friday June 21st we are having a jumble sale, the proceeds of which will go towards the cost of revamping the library earlier in the year. We would be very grateful if you could send in books, toys, board games etc. (all in good condition) before Wednesday 19th June. On the day there will be plenty of games that the children can play.
Our sports day yesterday was a great success. We were lucky with the weather and the children participated in all the games with smiles on their faces. Well done to everyone.
The end of year reports will be posted to all families on Friday June 14th.
The number of children who travel to school by bus has fallen considerably over the last couple of years. In order to keep this service we need to increase our numbers. If you think you might be interested in using the bus, please contact Helen in the office for further details.
Confirmation photographs are going home today there is a copy of the class photograph in the office. If you wish to order Communion or Confirmation group photograph (€15). Orders have to be placed by Monday June 17th. Please pay for or return individual/family photographs by Thursday June 20th.
