Vaccinations

The H.S.E. vaccination team will visit the school tomorrow to give the MMR and 4 in 1 vaccinations to Junior Infants.

Swimming

First, Second and Sixth classes are swimming in Navan Swimming Pool this Thursday. They will be leaving the school by bus at 11.35a.m. and will be back in the school at 1.40p.m. (approx). We will need a number of parents/guardians in First class to help out at the swimming pool as it’s the first time this class will have gone swimming with the school. The cost per pupil is €30.00. Please send in money in an envelope as soon as possible.

Green Schools Exhibition

Fifth class pupils and the children on our Green Schools Committee will be visiting the RDS this Thursday for the Green Schools Exhibition. This promises to be an exciting and educational day for the children. They will be leaving the school at 12.00 noon. The exhibition finishes at 3.30p.m. The bus should be back in the school at 5.00p.m. (approx.). Thanks to Eimear Moffat for kindly paying for the bus.

School Sign

The ‘ Rathfeigh National School’ sign has been ordered and will be ready in three to four weeks. We have two donations (€1000 and €500) from people who want to remain anonymous and €400 from Edward Armstrong. This generosity is really appreciated and the Board of Management would like to express their thanks to everyone who donated. We are now just €100 short of the total cost!

RST Community Group

The RST Community Group are holding a public meeting in the RST Centre on Monday 26th February at 8.00p.m. The topic for discussion is the lack of amenities on the Hill of Tara. All RST residents are invited to the meeting.

Friday March 16th

We would like to invite all parents/guardians to the school on March 16th from 9.15a.m. to 9.45a.m. for musical performances from all classes. The children will have a Ceilí and a Talent Show later in the day. The school will close at the normal time. (1.40p.m. (Junior/Seniors, 2.40p.m. (all other classes).

Pancake Tuesday

Sixth class pupils did a great job making pancakes for all children in the school on Pancake Tuesday. A big thanks to Caren, Bridget, Roisín, Sinead and Colin for giving of their time on Tuesday morning to help the children.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child’s education please make an appointment with the class teacher. The Parental Complaints Policy is on the school website.

Board of Management Meeting

The next Board of Management meeting will be held in the school on Tuesday March 6th at 7.00p.m.

Community Games Art

Skryne/Rathfeigh Community Games Art competition will take place in Skryne School Hall on Friday 23rd February from 2.45p.m. to 4.45p.m. Entry fee €2.00. Children must live in Skryne/Rathfeigh parish.
