A Thuisti,
School Insurance The school, like every other school in Ireland, does not carry Personal Accident Insurance. So if your child were to trip in the yard and fall he/she would not be covered for any ensuing injuries. The school does, however, carry Public Liability Insurance. Under this insurance a child’s injuries could be covered if, through legal process, it could be proven that the accident happened through culpable negligence on the part of the school. As it is unlikely that injuries will be compensated through the above, Allianz each year offers to parents/guardians a Personal Accident Policy cost €8.00 which provides medical insurance to cover all accidents 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We ask all families to take out this cover. Payment can be made to the school when you are paying for arts and crafts. Please put money in an envelope and mark child’s name, class and amount on outside one envelope per family is sufficient. (An application form is attached with further information which doesn’t need to be returned with payment).
The cost per pupil this year for Art & Craft is €20.00. Please send in the money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on it.
If you haven’t already returned the Parental Permission Form please do so tomorrow.
Please ensure your child is wearing the correct school uniform i.e. tracksuit (with crest) to be purchased in Blondelles. On warmer days the children can wear plain navy shorts only (cotton or cotton/polyester) Football shorts or shorts with logos will not be permitted.
On Monday September 25th the school will close at 1.40p.m. for all pupils to facilitate a staff meeting.
The attendance rate in the school for August 29th, 30th and 31st was 98.2%
Circus Photography are visiting the school on Tuesday September 12th for Individual, Family and Junior Infants class photograph. We will send forms home tomorrow.
In order to update our records we would like each family to fill in and return the attached contact details form. Please return it to the school tomorrow.
