Board of Management
All Boards of Management are in place for four years. Our recent Board of Management was in place from December 2015 to December 2019. The patron is responsible for initiating the steps necessary for the establishment of our next Board of Management. As our new Board of Management has yet to be formed the patron, Bishop Tom Deenihan has appointed Maurice Daly as interim manager of the school.
Enrolment Week
Enrolment Week is from February 3rd to February 7th. If your child is starting school in September 2020 please call to the office and collect an Enrolment Form from Helen. If you know any parents/guardians who have children starting school in September please let them know about our Enrolment Week. They are welcome to visit the school at any time and I will talk to them about school life in Rathfeigh (activities, facilities etc). We look forward to hearing from them.
Computer Classes
Computer classes will continue on Wednesdays for the next three weeks. Please send in €5.00 in an envelope for computer classes as soon as possible.
Vaccinations
Booster of 4 in 1 Vaccinations Diphtheria, Polio, Tetanus, Whooping Cough 7and MMR for Junior Infants will take place in the school Tuesday 18thFebruary 2020. Junior Infants will take home a form today. Please return this form to the office as soon as possible.
“Batteries for Barretstown”
If you have batteries to recycle you can put them in the box provided at reception. The money raised from this will help children and families affected by serious illness.
Hurling Training
We are delighted that Aileen from Kilmessan Hurling Club has returned again to train the children in all classes the skills of hurling. She will be here on Mondays.
Bookmark Competition
To celebrate World Book Day on February 7th Meath County Council are running a Bookmark Competition titled “Leap into Libraries” for children from First to Sixth classes. The closing date for entries to be received by Meath County Council is February 7th. The top five entries from the school will be sent to Meath County Council.
School Closure
The school is closed on Friday January 31st as per the school calendar.
