Girls’ Football Final

We are delighted that our girls’ gaelic football team have reached the Cumann na mBunscol final for the second successive year. They had an impressive semi-final victory over Kiltale and they now play Castletown in the final this Saturday at 12 noon in Pairc Tailtann. We are exceptionally proud of their efforts and we hope they will bring home the trophy for the first time since 2000. Our girls had two heart – breaking final defeats last year in football and rounders and we hope they will make up for those defeats on Saturday. Our girls are tough and they don’t let previous disappointments curb their enthusiasm and commitment to do their best. I am very confident, whether we are victorious or not, that the girls will put a 100% effort into the game and fight to the very end. Good Luck Girls!

Pre – Communion Mass

There is a Pre-Communion Mass practice this Wednesday from 1.30 to 2.30p.m. We will be leaving the school at 1.25p.m. Please arrange a lift for your child if you can’t be in attendance yourself.

Book Fair

We have a successful Book Fair again this year. Thanks to Mrs. Campbell for co-ordinating the Fair and to Carol and Teresa for giving of their time in collecting money and taking orders from the children. Thanks also to Jackie Ross, Amy, Luke, Lucy, Gracie and Ruadhán for helping to set up the Book Fair each morning.

Science Week

We celebrated Science Week last week. We were intrigued and mesmerised by the vast array of interesting science experiments produced by the children. It was great to see the children immerse themselves in the great variety of interesting experiments. A special thanks to Donald Christian for providing the children in 3rd and 4th class with white laboratory coats, goggles,  bottles of coke and mentos for the outdoor experiment which was observed by the whole school.

Communication Questionnaire

Please fill out the ‘Communication’ Questionnaire attached as it will give us information as to how communication can be improved in the school.
