Hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. The school was a buzz of excitement yesterday as parents/guardians dropped off their children to school after the summer holidays. Everyone looked eager and ready for the new school year. Our new Junior Infants settled in really well and are enjoying their new surroundings. For this week only the Junior Infants will be going home at 12 noon. From Monday September 5th the Junior Infants will be going home at 1.40p.m. We wish all the children and their families a safe and enjoyable year.
Book Rental
Thanks to Bridget Copeland who organised the Book Rental Scheme again this year. Please ensure the children take good care of the books as some of them will be used again next year.
The children got their Copies, Folders and ( Homework Journals 1st to 6th ). (Payment for copies etc will be collected next week).
Tracksuits
We ask all parents/guardians to please put their child’s name on their Tracksuit Tops. If your child takes off their tracksuit top in the classroom or the playground it can easily get mislaid.
Parental Permission Form/Contact Form
We ask parents/guardians for their permission for their children to participate in certain activities. Please read the Parental Permission Form and tick the relevant boxes and return the forms in an envelope by Monday 5th September.
Please complete the Contact Form and return it to the office in an envelope by September 5th.
Your child will take home both forms today.
Administration of Medicines
All families who have children with medical issues (nut allergies, asthma etc) must return the Administration of Medicines forms by September 5th in an envelope. The form can be downloaded from the school website. This form must be returned regardless of whether the form was filled out last year.
Principal Administrative Days
As a result of Covid-19 Teaching Principals are given one day weekly for administrative days. For the month of September Ms. Mc Goldrick will be teaching 3rd/4th class on Tuesdays.

School Closures
The school will close at 12noon on September 29th to facilitate teacher training on the Primary Language Curriculum. The school is closed on October 3rd as per the school calendar.
