The Parents’ Association Family Fun Day yesterday was a great success. A huge amount of planning and organisation went into making this event such an enjoyable day for the children. The weather was great and the children enjoyed the day tremendously. The Parents’ Association would like to thank all the people not on the committee who gave their time to help out at the fun day and to everyone who baked and donated prizes.
The Health and Fitness days in the school last week were really enjoyable. We would like to thank everyone who gave of their time to make the days such a success and to Supervalu Johnstown and O’Callaghan Farm Shop for donating fruit.
The parents/guardinans and the new Junior Infants are invited to the school tomorrow (9th June) from 1.30 to 2.30p.m. To facilitate this the present Junior and Senior Infants will go home at 12.30p.m. Parents/guardians who haven’t already returned the Primary Online Database (POD) form should bring it with them.
Laura O’Keane is doing a Music Workshop in all classes this Thursday. They will be making a musicial instrument with shoe boxes and elastic bands. All children must bring in a shoe box with their name on the inside by Wednesday June 10th.
Our Girls’ Rounders’ Team are playing in the final this Thursday afternoon at 3.15p.m. in the Navan O’Mahony’s football pitch. It’s a great achievement by them to get to the final and we wish them the very best of luck.
The Fifth and Sixth class pupils are orienteering in Balrath Wood this Friday (June 12th). We are leaving the school at 10.20a.m. and returning at 12.30p.m. We will need help with lifts. This will form part of the P.E. curriculum. The cost per child is €3.00. Please send in money in envelope.
We are missing a number of football jerseys if anyone has one at home please bring it into school tomorrow.
All classes will have Gaelic football coaching tomorrow. Children should wear their school tracksuits. This is part of the P.E. curriculum.
There will be Credit Union in the school on Friday. This will be the last day until September.
The end of year reports will be posted on Tuesday June 16th.
There is a Board of Management meeting this Thursday June 11th.
