The Boys’ 7-a-side gaelic football competition takes place tomorrow (March 1st) in Skryne. We will be playing four matches. We will be leaving the school at 2.00p.m. We should be finished around 3.40p.m. The Girls’ 7-a-side takes place in Dunboyne this Thursday (March 3rd).We will be leaving at 1.00p.m. and should be finished at 2.45p.m. Ten players are only allowed on each panel according to the Cumann na mBunscoil’s strict rules.
There is a Pre-Communion Mass practice in Rathfeigh Church this Friday (March 4th) at 11.00a.m. We will need help with lifts. The Mass will take place in Rathfeigh Church on Saturday (March 5th) at 6.00p.m.
First Confession for Second Class pupils takes place in Rathfeigh Church on Thursday March 10th at 7.30p.m.
Our U11 Credit Union quiz team narrowly missed out on reaching the All Ireland Finals last Friday night. They represented the school excellently and we are very proud of their huge efforts over the last few weeks. A big thanks to Mrs Vaughan for preparing the team so well.
Fourth & Fifth classes will be visiting Fairyhouse racecourse on Wednesday (March 9th). This ‘Open Day’ will give the children an insight into how the racecourse operates and they will get the chance to meet a local trainer and jockey. The cost of the bus is €3.00. Please send in money in an envelope as soon as possible.
There is a Board of Management meeting in the school tonight.
Mr. Madden will be teaching Senior Infants and First classes for the next three weeks as part of his Teaching Practice.
