9th March, 2015.

A Thuisti,

We will have a ceilí in the school hall this Friday (March 13th). It is a non-uniform day and the children should wear something green on the day. It is one of the highlights of the school year and we are really looking forward to it. The school will close at 1.40p.m. for all classes on Friday ( there is a school bus)  and will re-open at 9.00a.m. on Wednesday March 18th.

All classes will perform an Irish ‘Dráma’ later this week to coincide with Seachtain na Gaeilge. We hope all classes from 3rd – 6th will be able to sing Amhrán na bhFiann for ceilí on Friday also.

The 7-a-side gaelic football blitz for boys takes place tomorrow in Skryne G.F.C. after school. They will play four games. The final game should finish at 5.00p.m. approximately.

All 5th and 6th class pupils are taking part in a Tag Rugby blitz in Ashbourne Rugby Club this Wednesday (11th). We will be going by bus. We are leaving at 9.30a.m. and returning at 1.00p.m. The cost of the bus is €5.00.

Mrs Long will be absent all this week.

Jack, in sixth class, has been chosen to play in an exhibition match in Páirc Táilteann this Saturday evening. We wish him the best of luck and hope he enjoys the experience.

Credit Union will take place in the school this Thursday (12th) morning at 9.00a.m.

First and Sixth classes received Dental Screening forms today. Please complete this form and return it to the school by Wednesday 11th March.

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day.

Is mise,

Seamus Tansley.

Priomh Oide.
