Parent Teacher meetings take place this Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December. School closes at 1.15p.m. on both of these days. There is a school bus at 1.15p.m. The children have the times for the meetings written in their journals. Please check your child’s journal today.
Last year we had a Christmas Play in the school. This year we will have a Christmas Carol Service in the school hall on Thursday December 18th at 6.30p.m. It is one of the highlights of the school year and we hope everyone can attend.
Due to the Parent/Teacher meetings basketball, with Kelvin, on Friday after school has been cancelled.
The Parents’ Association are in the process of producing a calendar for 2015. A big thanks to Peter Lynch for taking photographs of each class last Wednesday. Each class drew pictures representing Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. A child’s picture from each class was chosen for the calendar also.
Folens Christmas Annuals are available from the office for €4.00.
We had a Board of Management meeting on Thursday November 27th. At that meeting a review of our Anti-Bullying Policy was conducted. Please find attached this ‘notification’. Attached also is our School Self-Evaluation Report on word problem solving in mathematics.
