The Book Fair finished today. It was a great success again this year. As a result of books purchased during the week the school received approximately €900 in commission which will be used to purchase books for the school library. A big congratulations to all the pupils who won books in the poster competition on Friday and to those pupils whose names were picked out in our raffle at our assembly. A big thanks to Mrs Mc Auley for organising the Book Fair and to all the parents who helped out during the Fair.
Swimming continues for Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes on Wednesday. The children are really enjoying the lessons and we thank them for behaving so well and listening attentively to the swimming instructors.
The election of two Parents’ Representatives to the new Board of Management will take place in the school this Thursday (November 19th) at 7.30p.m.
There is a Pre- Confirmation Mass practice in Skryne Church this Friday. We will be leaving the school at 1.20p.m.
Credit Union takes place in the school every Friday morning. If you would like your child to join the Tara and District Credit Union forms can be collected from the office.
The Parents’ Association are doing a Christmas Calendar again this year. Photographs are being taken tomorrow morning. All children must wear their school uniform and bring a Red Santa hat. If you don’t want your child to appear in the calendar please let us know in writing tomorrow.
Reminder: The Gladrags & Handbags fundraising night is taking place on Friday 27th November in the RST Centre Skryne from 8pm. Tickets €10. If you are unable to attend we would ask if you would please kindly support the school by purchasing a ticket. All proceeds are in aid of our School, to help with development and education of our children. The Parents’ Association have launched a Facebook page (Rathfeigh NS Parents Association) please ‘like’ us and keep up-to-date with events organised for the school.
